Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for paid RedMapForge plans. It is intended to be simple and generous, and it applies in addition to — not instead of — your mandatory rights as a consumer under EU and German law. Payments are processed by Paddle as our merchant of record.

1. 14-day no-questions refund (before your first export)

If you are not happy with a paid plan for any reason, email us within 14 days of your purchase (or of a renewal charge) and we will refund it — no questions asked. This applies to the Pro and Studio subscriptions and to the Founder Lifetime license alike, as long as you have not yet run a successful resource export on the plan.

The exported RedM resource is the finished product you keep and run on your own server, independently of RedMapForge — it is the core of what a paid plan delivers. Once you have downloaded a successful export, this voluntary no-questions refund therefore no longer applies. Your mandatory statutory rights (Section 3) remain unaffected, and if something is genuinely broken we will of course still make it right — just email us.

2. How to request a refund

Email info@dietrich-development.com from the address on your account and mention that you would like a refund. We will arrange the refund through Paddle to your original payment method. Refunds are typically processed promptly; the time for the money to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card provider.

3. EU right of withdrawal (14 days)

As a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. RedMapForge is digital content and an online service. When you purchase a paid plan, you expressly consent to us beginning performance immediately (so that you can use the paid features right away) and you acknowledge that, once the service has been fully performed, or to the extent it has been performed, the statutory right of withdrawal may be lost or reduced accordingly. In particular, running a resource export means the digital content at the heart of your plan has been delivered to you in full. As long as you have not exported, our 14-day no-questions refund in Section 1 is more generous than the statutory minimum, so in practice you can simply ask for a refund within 14 days.

4. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel a Pro or Studio subscription at any time through the Paddle customer portal (linked from your account and from your Paddle purchase receipt). Cancellation stops future renewals; it takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access to your paid features until then. Outside the 14-day refund window, we do not charge a cancellation fee, but we also do not pro-rate or refund the remainder of a period you have already paid for.

5. What happens to your projects

Cancelling or downgrading never deletes your work. If you drop to a plan with a lower project limit, any projects over that limit simply become read-only until you upgrade again. Resources you have already exported keep working on your own server independently of your plan.

6. Founder Lifetime license

The Founder Lifetime license is a one-time purchase and is covered by the same 14-day no-questions refund described in Section 1, including its export condition: once you have run a successful resource export, the voluntary refund no longer applies. After 14 days (or after your first export, whichever comes first) the purchase is final; there is no subscription to cancel. For what “Lifetime” means and the wind-down guarantees, see Section 4.4 of our Terms of Service.

7. Questions

If anything about billing, refunds or cancellation is unclear, email info@dietrich-development.com and we will help.
